Any trick to help make my guinea pigs not hate me so much?
I've had my guinea pigs for about 4 mths now. I take them out I hold them I feed them when I hold them and I've wrapped them up to hold them. They still chatter at me run the other direction and try to leap out of my arms. I know when they want to go back because they nip my shirt but one did it to my hand. It's gotten to the point I've stopped holding them as much because it seems like it stresses them out more than helps them get comfy. The one that's most scared of me seems to be the dominant female the submissive one sits longer on me but still has the same outcome. I don't know what to do.
Travis you can fix all of this, how ever it will take a lot of work on your part. The most important thing is you can not be feeling frustrated when you hold them or they will fee your insecurity's and it will scare them. If you truly want this to calm down you can get your guinea pigs very calm by using the towel trick, however you can not give up half way through, you have to hold in there for at least 2 weeks, for 1 hour a day with each guinea pig.
Wrap your guinea pig in a towel and lie it on your chest while you are watching TV, reading a book, or listening to music. Set it in your lap while you are on the computer, my Miya loves the sound of the keyboard and purrs to it.Carry it about the house with you as you do your day.

After 2 weeks you may not have to use the towel, however, some guinea pigs do get attached to their towel and want to keep it as my Miya did, she was allowed to keep the towel and the bed.!! This is not an issue as they potty train their self's while doing the towel trick.
